Bobby's Nook is located in Selsley near Stroud in peaceful countryside with amazing views, especially to the west with the River Severn and the Forest of Dean in the distance. This ever-changing scenery can manifest awesome sunsets in summer and dramatic skies all year round.
Bobby's Nook is the perfect base for all types of holiday, particularly those involving relaxing, walking, cycling and site seeing.
Being adjacent to the Cotswold Way's Selsley Circuit there are many walks to be enjoyed straight from the front door. The surrounding area is criss-crossed with public footpaths which can take you through an enjoyable and interesting variety of scenery, from Selsley Common with panoramic views to the Stroud Five Valleys, to experiencing the newly restored canal, old woolen mills and industrial heritage of this area which is famous for its former importance in wool and cloth production, including a unique red cloth historically used in army uniforms.
The Arts and Crafts Selsley Church, the last "Wool Church" to be built, is about a half a mile away. It has also recently undergone extensive restoration and is renowned for its architecture and beautiful stained glass window by William Morris - well worth a visit.
If relaxing is more your style, then Bobby's Nook is a great place to unwind and has provided a cosy, tranquil retreat for many guests. With rural views from the kitchen and bedroom windows over looking fields, sometimes with sheep and cows or the occasional fox, deer etc., it's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet!
